Seven Utes Mountain (Dudes Weekend The Begining)

My girlfriend had to be on call for her job on MLK weekend. So I thought I would get some guys together to go on a ski trip. First conversations with Noel had us going down south to Wolf Creek or west to Utah. Then we finally came up with idea of Steamboat with some mixed in back country skiing, less driving more skiing. The first day we stopped in North Park to hit up Seven Utes mountain. The mountain has be slated many times for the development of a ski area but luckily it has never gone through. After no snow for a week we had fresh tracks on a blue bird day.......

I love to ski

Craig kinking up cold smoke with 75 under foot
Back at the car tired and thankful for the awesome day.

I am again reminded of how much I like being in mountains with a few people in the back country compared to being at a resort with thousands of people. Quality VS Quantity.

Why are you going to start a blog?

So I am home sick and everyone is out skiing. Instead of reading ad working on my grade program i am starting a blog and watching the playoffs. People have asked me, "why are you starting a blog. I guess its like a diary but better because of the options of pictures, videos, etc. . This is not going to be one of those smart witty blog. Although, I may come out with occasional zinger. I used to eat allot of those I still do but i used to too. I like to push the elements, Metal (ie skis and Bikes) and Rubber (ie Rafts and Duckys) Here are some old pics from adventures in the different elements pushing different elements... We are not core but we have a lot of fun.

My dad the one who taught me how to push various elements, on the upper blue.
My little brother Scott at Powderhorn (the mountain we grew up on) pushing metal and wood. Other little brother Aaron jumping elements out at 18 road...
Ducking is for Dorks. Noel and I at a play spot on the lower Blue, pushing rubber.

A boy and his dog (Jeff and Talus) pushing metal and wood down the North Chutes on Berthoud. Are you starting to see a trend here, OK i will stop.

My Girlfreind Val pushing it down in the Pumphouse Cirque.

John Wulff, pushing it down the Pumhouse Cirque on Berthoud.
If you didn't make it on this one I look forward to you making it the next time.........
